Ed is the main protagonist and player character of Indigo Park. He broke into Indigo Park eight years after its closure to search around. He is an urban explorer of some kind as he mentions having done other 'searches'. The Steam page describes him as an adventurous soul and eager to uncover the mysteries within Indigo Park.[1] He initially carries only a flashlight before getting the Critter Cuff.
Story[]
Ed is shown chatting on Harmony at the start of Chapter 1's beginning cutscene under the username eEnsign. Ed's mother was a big fan of Mollie Macaw and he and her eagerly went to the meet & greet when it first opened. While this doesn't say too much about their relationship, they seem to have been close. At the start of the game, he goes to investigate in the park on Saturday, October 7th of an unknown year. He mentions his dad promised to buy him a pair of Rambley Ears when they went to the park when he was a kid. He doesn't say that he did, so perhaps he didn't. He liked aquariums as a kid, but Finley 'creeped him out'.

- UniqueGeese has stated that Ed isn't the character's real name, and that his real name is a "very niche reference which is related to the actions he takes ingame."[citation needed]
- Ed and his Harmony username eEnsign might be a reference to Dave Ensign (“Hoot Gibson”) and Ed Barlow Jr. (“Thunder Chief"), Two Disney park explorers, who illegally took hours of video content on the Disney Epcot ride Horizons by leaving the ride car.[2][3]
- His real name may use the initials U.F., as depicted on his Harmony profile picture.[4]
- Lloyd was one of his favorite characters.
- He once got sick drinking too much "Bird Up".
- He refers to Rambley as his 'buddy'.
- Ed's in-game model appears to be 127 cm (4'2") tall.
