Overview

Rambley the Raccoon is the deuteragonist of Indigo Park. He is an AI that guides the Player throughout the entire park in the hopes of getting it up and running once again . Although Rambley hasn't seen visitors in at least 8 years, he is still eager to help out Player and make sure that their journey through the park is the best it can be.

Appearance

Rambley is an anthropomorphic raccoon that stands up on 2 legs, and has desaturated, light indigo fur, as well as purple-gray highlights of fur on the inside of his ears, across his face, including around his eyes and muzzle, and a patch on his stomach. Being a raccoon, he has a black mask-like marking on his face, black paws and feet, and black ringed stripes running along his tail. He has a red bandana tied around his neck. His irises are indigo, and his pupils are white. One small fang is typically visible.

Personality

During a stream, UniqueGeese described him as quite childish. He also likes trains, which is reflected in that the ride themed after him is a railroad. He likes to talk, judging by his name (which he jokes about the first time the player examines an Information Kiosk), and the fact he will be able to tell the Player about any collectibles they find from the Info Kiosks.

In the game itself, he takes his job as an entertainer and guide very seriously, and he places a large amount of importance on whoever he considers a friend. Despite him being an artificial intelligence who's bound by protocols, he has a good conscience, and is willing to exploit loopholes in said protocols when it comes to doing what's right (such as granting the player employment when a staff-only area is their only escape route).

Prior to the events of the game, he was unaware of exactly how much damage the park had sustained; he reveals after the player's encounter with Mollie Macaw that he was confined to the entrance for the entire time the park had been closed, and all he knew was that people stopped coming and that the mascots were a danger. He was delighted to finally have somebody to talk to, and bottled up his distress for worry of ruining the player's experience at the park. He hints more than once that loneliness is a great fear of his, and does not want to be left alone again.

There is a common belief among the fans that Rambley might be more than he seems: For example, in Chapter 1 when the Rambley's Railway ride breaks down and the player is forced to gather gears to fix the power generator, an animatronic of Mollie Macaw is found, saying mostly nonsense. Among what can be heard are the words "not Rambley" and "he hurts Lloyd", of which the latter might actually have some truth to, as when the player gets attacked by Lloyd, the Critter Cuff releases a high-pitched sound to aggitate Lloyd, making him retreat.

• His favorite ride is Rambley's Railway because he likes trains.
  • Rambley liking trains was mentioned by UniqueGeese prior to Chapter 1's release.
• He is drawn and animated by the dev Jakeneutron, who also composes music for the game. Jakeneutron is famous for his Pibby Concepts, Friday Night Funkin' Oswald The Lucky Rabbit mod, and a song about Amanda The Adventurer named Don't Listen.
• After being abandoned for eight years, Rambley is seemingly not in the best shape at this point.
• According to Finley the Sea Serpent, Rambley is far older than he looks, having known Finley for more than 100 years.
  • However, this could be in-universe lore for the characters, and may not be actually be related to his age.
  • This could also mean their characters have been around since the early days of animation and like similar characters they don't age.
  • It could also simply be a metaphor for them knowing each other for a long time.
• He really dislikes Lloyd. The exact reasons are unknown, but it can be presumed that he is jealous of him or that he sees Lloyd as a self-centered show-off.
  • It's hinted that he and Lloyd used to be on good terms, as shown by a picture of the two interacting positively at the beginning of Rambley's Railroad.
  • It's also possible Lloyd was pushed more by the company given his retro plush as Rambley seems rather upset that neither he nor his friends got their own.
• There is a common theory amongst fans that Rambley may have created a replica of andys room from toy story
• On May 25, 2024, an official Makeship plush of Rambley was announced and made available for pre-order.
• On the Café De Raton Laveur menu board, one of the listed sweets is the Rambley Special. It is currently unknown what the sweet looks like.
• In earlier versions of the game, a hidden area contained a toilet with Rambley's head sprouting out of it. A likely reference to the popular YouTube series, Skibidi Toilet.
